The Alpinestars A5-S V2 Youth Chest Guard in black, white, and red is designed to deliver top-notch protection and comfort for younger riders. The inner side of the outer shell features a perforated impact grid that not only enhances protection but also boosts airflow to keep things cool under the protector.
The dual-zone chest guard combines a rigid central area with a flexible soft compound around the edges. This is backed by soft bio-foam padding, which adapts to the shape of the chest for a custom fit. The central zone is open behind the perforated impact grid to maximise ventilation.
Made from a flexible viscoelastic material, the chest and back protectors offer excellent ventilation and are lightweight. Adjustable shoulder straps keep the protectors securely in place, while easy-connect buckles and V-straps ensure the rib guards are firmly attached. The V-straps help distribute tightening pressure evenly, providing a more secure and comfortable fit.
The rib guards provide extra protection in crucial areas. The removable shoulder protectors are mounted on soft-touch foam padding and attached with hook-and-loop patches. Elastic straps keep the shoulder protectors snugly in place.
Ventilation is a key feature, with 17% of the protector made up of ventilation apertures, and channeling directs heat away from the chest. The viscoelastic back protector is highly adaptable and breathable. It’s compatible with the Bionic Neck Support (YNS) system via a removable pouch panel and elasticated YNS pull tabs.
