Well, mates, Day 2 of the Official MotoE Portimao Test had its fair share of twists and turns, especially when the rain decided to join the party in Portugal. Hector Garzo from Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™ took charge, nailing the fastest lap of the entire test with a slick 1:46.916, proving he's got the skills even when the weather is throwing a curveball.
Nicolas Spinelli, the Day 1 speedster from Tech3 E-Racing, had to settle for P2 this time around, and Matteo Ferrari from Felo Gresini MotoE™ rounded out the top three. But hold on, the plot thickens – Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) shook things up, grabbing spots in the top five.
As the rain added a splash of drama to the proceedings, the electric class field got a taste of wet weather action in 2024. Despite the challenges, the teams and riders soaked in some useful information and valuable track time.
Now, the big question looms over the paddock like a rain cloud – will the skies clear up for the final day of pre-season testing on Friday? Garzo's set the bar high with that 1:46.916, the only rider dipping below the 1:47 bracket. The challenge is on – can anyone join the club or even beat him? The stage is set, the bikes are revved up, and we're all eagerly waiting to see who will reign supreme on the last day of testing! 🌧️🏍️💨 #MotoE #PortimaoTest #RainOrShineRacing
